Modastatic^TM is a range of fabrics developed by Tecron to meet the needs of industrial personal protective clothing. They are blend of modacrylic and other fibers like cotton, viscose, aramid or other functional fibres. Unlike treated flame resistant cotton, Modastatic^TM does not use flame resistant chemical to make the fabric flame resistant, which often s health hazards such as formaldehyde, odor, color change, abnormal pH value or azo, etc. All its flame resistance property is inherent in their fibres, and it stays as long as the fabric service life. Unlike Nomex or aramid fabrics, Modastatic^TM fabrics contain a considerable part of natural or naturally derived material to become much better moisture wicking and thus comfortable. Their cost is at the lower end of the IFR materials and thus have great value.
